It's been 5 years

I never did post anything, huh...?
I'm not sure if I'm returning to this account regularly or not - kinda winded up back here on a whim while looking for something - but my love of ponies certainly hasn't gone away so that won't be what keeps me away.
I'm a little undecided about what to do with that fic I kept talking about, "The Tenth Door"... Overall as I've gotten older my perspective on grimdark has changed, and I'm not sure that the story I had in mind will end up being something as enthralling as I felt it was.
On the other hand, it's something I worked at for a while, considering my terrible attention span. And it was initially something based on a nightmare I'd had, but it turned into something more as I worked on it. It was my first true attempt at writing fanfiction. Before, I'd always avoided writing characters from media because I was always scared I'd be unable to get the characterization down. While I can't say I'm a master, that first attempt at a fic helped me realize that it isn't as hard as I feared it was, and even nowadays when I skim through what I'd written I can read it in the canon character's voices.
So it's an old idea, probably fairly 'cringey' what with ocs being shoehorned in the way they were, but it's very dear to me.
I may at least post what I have written. It's a thought that's crossed my mind a lot over the years, so I'll at least share that much. If it goes over well, or if I feel inspired, I may pick it up again and see it through.
If not, well... at least what I have written will be out there. And lately I've been world building for a pony-oc-centric story - who knows how far THAT will get! - but maybe I can post something like that instead.
If nothing else, this site was what really got me into fanfiction, and if I don't prove myself to be a writer here, I'll at least happily fill my role as avid reader here I'm sure!
