First Story? · 4:06pm Jan 22nd, 2019
So I've finally gained enough initiative to begin a story, for those who view let me know how it sounds so far and whether I should continue on.
FAIR WARNING!!
~Story is still in the works and no-where near reading material as of yet... this is just prefab.
[Butterscotch stared out the window as trees whipped by just before darkness overtook her view.
“Did you know it took over seventy thousand tons of explosives to etch out the Vanhoover tunnel?” Wild Ace said.
“No, I can't say I did darling. Where in Equestria did you hear that random fact?” Butterscotch questioned.
“In the book you just got me of Equestrias greatest Architectural achievements. Oh! And here is one about the place we're going to! Says here Mount (Name) was built even before Princess Luna’s banishment to the moon, it's been maintained and standing for over a thousand years!” Ace exclaimed. “Well that sure is an impressively long time for a structure to be up for... Say, Ace how do you feel about this trip? I know you rather be home and it was a last minute notice, I just want to make sure your comfortable.”
“I'm fine mother, this train ride is a bit dull but this new book is making it worthwhile. Besides these facts about Mount (Name) are extremely intriguing, I'm actually looking forward to this trip.” Ace said, eyes glued to the words transcribed within his book.
“Well that's good, we shouldn't be very far at this point, only half an hour once we come to the other side of the tunnel.” Just as the words left her mouth light started to pour into the front of their passenger car slowly reaching their seat before the rest of the darkness faded and the tunnel was clear. Butterscotch stained her eyes at first as the morning sun beamed back through her window. Once she finally adjusted her vision she was in awe by the beautiful land she saw before her.
Large mountains with snowy peaks and a large lake surrounded by coniferous forest viewed for miles.
The view was even more spectacular due to the height above the forest as the train crossed over a bridge that connected the tunnel to the next mountaintop.
“What a sight! Ace darling look at this view its spectacular!”
“Woah… now that made the ride a little less dull, amazing!” he uttered.
They both sat staring as the view quickly vanished and the trees returned to the only visible entities outside their window. Ace resumed his book and Butterscotch returned her attention to the front of the passenger car.]
