Nanowrimo (Or, why I'm currently writing a 50000-word fanfic)

It won't be posted until WELL into December, (major editing, creating a cover picture. Or begging someone else to do it. etc.), but it will get done. Mostly because I told so many people about this I will be publicly shamed if I don't complete the challenge.

    My deepest, darkest, secret...

...is that I'm terribly lazy. No, I haven't been horribly busy (until school started last week), and no, I haven't suffered recently from writer's block. I have plenty of carefully crafted beginnings or half-finished stories that'll never come to fruition. I just haven't had the willpower to put pen to paper, or finger to keyboard, or...well, you get the point. After work, all I wanted to do was

    Challenge Accepted

Despite work, babysitting, and the allure of the internet, I'm almost done with my new story. Except I still need a last paragraph, need to do some serious editing, and need to come up with a better title.

On a related note, I noticed the feature box has remained mostly the same this week.

    CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

For those of you who are not familiar with nanowrimo, every year they have a challenge to write a 50,000 word story or novel over the course of a month. Behold: http://www.nanowrimo.org/en/dashboard

Why'd I choose MLP fanfiction, rather than finally starting that novel? ....Still trying to figure that out. Oh, well. However, the idea of a meteocre writer writing an epic-length story, (something usually only attempted by the Greats of Fimfiction) amuses me.

If anyone would be willing to lend me a hand with editing the monster or creating cover art, I'd be very grateful.
