Hrussanskiro (Ponyville)

Near the outskirts of what would become the Everfree Forest, there was a town called Hrussanskiro. It started as farmland near to the outskirts Stainazkopijanslan. Over the centuries it grew more and more, growing more prosperous as it developed. During the Dragon's invasion of Landan sa Hrussan Erthoz, the Earth Pony country, it was one of the first targets hit. Primarily due to its proximity to the capital, the aforementioned Stainazkopijanslan. It was also hit because Hrussanskiro was an exporter of metal wares, such as armor and weapons. There were few survivors, but two would become very important in the years to come. Their names were Glodiz and Nahts. But their story will come later.

The burning of Hrussanskiro was the first destruction of the town, it wouldn't be the last. A few decades after it was burnt down, it was rebuilt as Hursaskir. Nothing remarkable happened at Hursaskir. The next destruction was more metaphorical than physical. It had simply grown large enough that it was merged with Stainazkopijanslan, then known as Stankoep. Stankoep itself is growing, with most of the forest has been cut down to supply the lumber. Ghastly Gorge is also started as a quarry. Stankoep exports its stone to the Unicorns to build what would become Canterlot.

When Stancep was destroyed in Nihtmiere Mona's duel with Frumi Sunneling, it was left to decay. Over the next thousand years, the Everfree Forest grew so much that Stancep was deep in the heart of the forest. About 900 years after the duel, the Independent Commonwealth was founded, with the Everfree near its center. The capital of the Commonwealth is a city called Ponyville. The Commonwealth was founded primarily by the Apple Clan when they were refugees from the Principality of Equestria.

The Apple Clan had been Serfs to the Unicorns since the Separation of Equestria to the Principalté d'Equestria and the Hors Frumidom. Other prominent families in the Commonwealth are the Pears, Carrots, Cherries, and Heartstrings. The leadership cycles between a candidate from each clan. The current Chancellor is Apple Strudel. Each family plays a part in the running of the Commonwealth in the modern day. The Apples help move Serfs covertly into the nation. The Heartstrings form the backbone of an intelligence agency, called the Intelligence Gatherers of the Commonwealth. The Cherries help regulate the economy. The Carrots have a long and proud history of being the basis of the army.

Due to the largescale industrialization since its founding, there have been petitions to rename the capital to various things. The most prominent of which is the name of Ponyburg. Ponyville's architecture is a mix of the Unicorn's New Classical and the Pegasi's Gothic Revival. Which parts of the city were designed with which style depends on the background of the population. Ponyville may not have the history of the Kingdom of Equestria's Canterlot or the Horse Froomdom's Cloudsdale, but its population is fastly rising. Most of its population are either immigrates from the Froomdom or escaped Serfs from the Kingdom.

Frumi: Old English equivalent to Princess.
Principalté d'Equestria: Old French for Principality of Equestria. Possibly.
Hors Frimedom: Old English for Horse Frimedom. Derived from Old English Frumi + dom.
