    Her Sentence as a Pony

I went with the executive decision to just finish Book One of Her Sentence as a Pony and start on Book Two. Book Two will be my main focus going forward. Book Two will have some chapters that flashback to a time where Shade, Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna fought side by side during key times, e.g. Discord's first defeat and Sombra's first defeat.

Her Sentence as a Pony rewrite

I’m planning to rewrite Her Sentence as a Pony because it has gone completely off what I planned.

    Or

Should I just finish what I have thought of for it and write an new story as an alternate to HSaaP?

    Not a Junkyard (Story Idea)

Another day, another bit—hopefully more than a bit’s wage. If your boss had their way they would pay you a bit a day. Lousy cheapskate. You work on your hooves all day, smile at all the rude ponies, and manage to keep your growing anger in check. The same thing keeps popping into your mind everyday at work: “Is it worth it?” Unfortunately, how today’s society revolves around capitalism, one must

    Hello...

Sorry for the unannounced hiatus. I have just been swamped with work and life. I plan on writing and updating at irregular intervals as work and life are a priority.

I haven’t even had time to game much! I am slowly becoming a normie!

    Halp!

The day is going just like Tower Defender had expected: insect-pony like creatures attack the city, his family becoming cocoons because of said insect-pony creatures, and now running to the park. Yup. Now all that is missing is the chase scene. He casts a quick glance behind him. Two of the creatures buzz after him.

Right.

A quick turn down an alley makes him stop in his tracks as he slides to a halt on the cobblestone. Snapping jaws and hissing maws greet him at the dead end.

Tower Defender breathes heavy. That early morning doughnut is not helping him right now. Neither were the pancakes, waffles, boysenberry syrup, and bananas. Come to think of it, all his previous life and health choices seem to come ahead in his thoughts at the moment. Movement reminds him of his current situation.

“Cosmic being(s) of creation, if you(y’all) exist, I could really use all the help I can get,” Tower Defender prays silently as he raises his forehooves.

He connects with the muzzle of the right creature and shoves the left one away. Shifting his weight forward he bucks his rear hooves. A satisfying crack fills the air and two hollow thuds resonate from the cobblestone. He whips around to run which swings his rear into the charging creature. Physics carries the creature into the brick wall. Tower Defender gallops down the street to locate the park.

“Signs would be too easy,” he groans inwardly as he passes street after street.

He skids to a stop to face hoof. Shaking his head, he reaches into a saddlebag for the map of the city he had picked up from the train station.

“Three blocks away,” he muses as he examines the map. He rolls the parchment up to stuff back in the saddlebag. His journey continues with vigor renew.

Without hiding or sneaking Tower Defender draws attention from the plenty of creatures patrolling around the skies of Canterlot. He ignores the burning in his hooves and the ache in his sides. Tower Defender is on a mission; to Tartarus with the creatures.

Screaming and crying fuel his hooves as he rounds a corner to head down the main drive to the park. His heart sinks when he enters the play area. Pods dot the area with ponies and foals inside them. A piercing cry grabs his attention.

Seven creatures surround two foals and two colts with three more in the air above the ponies. The two colts stood over the foals baring their teeth. Tower Defender sees the colts legs trembling and blood begin to leak from the nose of the pegasus colt.

A primal roar bellows deep from within Tower Defender’s being as he charges the black creatures.

“Uncle!” the earth pony colt cries.

Tower Defender bulldozes three creatures sending them towards the sky. He headbutts a nearby creature which causes it to collapse to the ground.

“Rargh!” Tower Defender roars as the three flying creatures dogpile on him. “Get the buck off me!”

His bucking shakes off one creature. A crunch fills the air and the two creatures buzz off him. Tower Defender looks under him where his front hooves had sunk into the creature during his bucking. Green goo trickles out from the broken black chitin. The creature gurgles as green goo spills from its maw.

“Raaah!” Tower Defender shouts as he rears back.

The world passes slowly as he shifts his full weight to his front hooves down onto the creature’s head. Tower Defender stares at the green pool at his hooves.

“—cle!”

“Huh?” He tears his eyes away from the goo to look at the colts.

“Uncle!” The four young ponies throw themselves at the blue earth pony.

Tower Defender holds onto the four of them tightly. “Little ones. . .” he croaks with tears choking him up. After a long embrace he pulls back. “We have to find shelter. Let’s go.”

“Where’s mom and grandma?” the pegasus colt questions.

“Y mí mamá y papá?” the only filly in the group squeaks.

“They. . . they’re going to be okay,” Tower Defender says with an encouraging grin. “The longer we are out here the more likely we will be spotted.”

Tower Defender starts to trot.

“I can get a better view from the air,” the pegasus colt inputs as he flexes his wings in preparation to takeoff.

“No!” Tower Defender shouts. The pegasus flinches back. “Sorry.” He huffs and clears his throat. “Sky Ace, the skies are not any safer. I can keep y’all protected better from down here.”

Sky Ace looks up at the sky with his honey eyes to see that his uncle speaks true. He follows after his uncle, siblings, and cousin taking up the rear.

With Donut Joe’s being the closest emergency shelter, Tower Defender leads his nephews and niece to the establishment. The bell rings as they enter the building. To Tower’s surprise, Donut Joe is behind the counter smiling.

“What can I get for ya?” Donut Joe grins.

Tower narrows his hazelnut eyes at the stallion. “You got any of those pineapple filled donuts ready, Joe?”

“You bet!” Donut Joe disappears behind the counter then pops back up with a tray of donuts. “You want some water? You all look like you ran a marathon.”

Tower smiles and leans up on the counter. “Hey, Joe? Does my watch look broken?”

Donut Joe looks down at the hoof laying on the counter. His brows knit in confusion. “You don’t have a wa—“

His comment is cut off when his head slams against the counter. Tower continues to bash the stallions head until green goo starts to cover the counter. Tower releases the creature’s head and pants heavily.

“They can do that?!”

Tower looks behind him and sees his charges huddling together.

“Yeah. I found out earlier, KD,” he replies to the earth pony colt. “The real Donut Joe would’ve known I’m allergic to pineapple. We have to be careful with random ponies we meet and be especially careful if we see our family.”

They all nod.

“Let’s go to the back where no prying eyes can spy us through the windows,” Tower suggests.

After getting the children to settle down Tower had informed them he will be leaving to bring the rest of the family back.

“Ace. KD.” The two colts walk up to their uncle. Tower hugs the two of them. “I’m super proud of you two. I’ll be back. Remember, I will call out ‘Flash’ when I come back. Keep the door locked until I return. No matter what anypony says behind that door.”

“Yes, sir,” Sky Ace nods.

“Be safe, Uncle,” KD smiles.

Tower’s heart twists. He hugs the two of them tighter. “I won’t let anything stop me,” he vows. He goes over to the two little ones and kisses their foreheads. “Listen to what Sky Ace says. I’ll be back.”

“Yes, sir,” the black unicorn colt nods.

The young filly nods her head with tears welling up in her violet eyes.

Tower steels himself as he leaves the storage room. The door locks behind him. With a deep breath he continues forward.
