My Main Theme Song (FINALLY!!)

I guess no one has ever heard of Charlie Puth before? Anyways, he’s been one of my favorite singer-songwriters ever since I heard his song One Call Away on the radio while riding in the car with my father. In my home of Hawaii that is. Now, I’m sitting on the sofa wondering why it’s my theme song. ‘Why is it my theme song?’ I thought to myself.

To answer my own question, the very first verses in the song stood out to me.

Maybe Imma get a little anxious

And I'm just trying to find a place to hide

I don't even know how to explain this

This part of the song (verse 1) stood out to me because of something I’m still experiencing irl.

Even after listening to this hit 2018 song, I knew some part of the lyrics still stood out. It made me remember that in real life, I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder after my reports from a school meeting showed up in an envelope days or weeks later. Relating to this song made me feel like it was a theme or a part of me. This song told what I was feeling deep down....Anxiety....extreme worrying.....though I don’t like to admit it.

Im’a tell’em all that you could either hate me or love me.
But that’s just the way I am.

Lastly, this verse where he says that he had to act a certain way, I’ve been told the same thing by my family members to act a certain way. Whatever they told me, it made me more nervous. This is really true and I’ve actually experienced it.

But, moving on.

What have I been up to?
I started college in August and so far it’s driving me nuts. And just been to live life to it’s fullest, though I still have to deal with a lot family drama, the best part of living with a Chinese Family.
