Damn, how long has it been since I did one of these? It's been getting very busy around here as finals week is approaching. Stress is getting high and time is getting strained... Badly. I haven't played any video games for the past week and it's starting to show as my hands are starting to shake like their pressing sticks and buttons. (Not really.) Not only that, but I've left behind my

Sleepy Nights · 6:14pm Sep 11th, 2018

Ghost sat down, breathing heavily with the little girl standing next to him, looking down the path they came from. "Is Mr. Horse going to be alright?" She asked him with a worried voice, her light blue eyes looking at the winded spirit. He looked up at her and gave her a nod.

"He's capable of taking care of himself. Besides, the main focus was to keep you safe." He said with a small grin. "So far, we're doing a pretty good job at that. Anything following behind?"

The girl looked back again and shook her head. "We lost the big monster..." She said before sitting down next to the spirit, who smiled at her.

"What did I tell you? Nothing to worry about." He said with certainty in his voice that inspired a bit more confidence in the young girl. She managed to return his smile before shrinking closer to him, shivering. Wearing nothing more than a tattered dress and short shorts underneath in the cold of the deep woods, her skin was slowly becoming cooler with the chill of the surrounding forest.

Ghost noticed this and took off his jacket he wore and wrapped her in it. She looked at him with worry.

"But... You'll get..."

"Bah. Don't worry about it. Don't even feel a thing..." He stated, pulling at the fur on his chest. "Being a cat has its benefits."

She smiled at him again, but much smaller than last time before hugging the jacket close to her body, using it like a blanket.

"Just get some rest, kid. We'll head off when you're feeling better..." He stated to her, his tail wrapping around her to keep her close as he rested against the bark of the tree. The girl's eyes grew heavy as she found herself struggling to stay awake any longer. But she knew that she could rest easy with him protecting her...

Right?

The twigs around her as she walked through the woods. She couldn't remember much about how she arrived here on this world of strange creatures and monsters, but she knew that she had to get home quickly. Before this happened, she remembered that her friends and she were attacked by a massive monster that was attacking her home. They had braved themselves, ready for battle with them in their HDD forms, but then a strange glow ripped the sky overhead open and let loose a wave of massive mechanical arms that tore through her city Planetune. The last thing she could think of was racing into the sky with the other CPUs, trying to stop this sudden attack when she got dragged into the hole in the sky.

Then she ended up here. Where here, no idea. But it certainly wasn't Gamindustry. Nor any place from her world. She sighed, almost feeling defeated, when a couple of voices nearby caught her attention. Upon exploring slowly and quietly, which was hard enough for her to do, she saw a strange looking monster with a little girl, sleeping against the trees in the night. Uncertain of what was going on and going off past experiences, she pulled her sword and readied herself to attack the monster...

"Time for the heroine to take her place..."

The soul. An ever important part of every living being, wither it be human or not. Anything that has a consensus, a mind of its own, has one. Nothing can live without it...
Why? Because if the soul is removed from the body, the carrier loses all will to live. All will to do anything. The soul is connected to the will of life and removing it is even worse than death.
The Soul Reapers. Creatures of the spiritual realm that have the innate ability to tamper and access the soul of creatures. They can touch and change the soul, for better or for worse, and, if they are brought to it, they can remove the soul entirely. They are known as the watchers of the living, working along side other spiritual creatures to protect these worlds.
Share. Something special among the Reapers, it is the hidden ability to share the soul of other living creatures, as to acquire their abilities and powers to use for their own tasks. Very few Reapers have this ability, and even fewer know how to use and master it. Only one Reaper in exsistance has come to fully understand and utilized this ability to protect those under their care.
Even Gods cannot escape the power of Reapers...
Twin Soul. A occurrence when one spirit is embedded with two souls, making them stronger. Not much is known about this as no current spirits are embedded with such a trait.
"Heh... Until now, of course..."
