Humanity's Road

Life is extremely difficult. It can hurt, it can feel like there is no hope and sometimes it crushes you like the light in a black hole. But, it isn't always like that. It's almost impossible to do it on your lonesome, but your life can get brighter. It's often better when you have someone to help fuel that candle in the cave. Love, loyalty, compassion, hope, honesty, generosity and laughter are just a few things positive about humanity. I could list the dark side, but I'm sure you're already aware of our dark side. If not, just have a peek at politics, that's enough evil to gag Sauron.

It's a very long road, one with sharp twists and turns, with cuts that appear to make the road shorter when they really take you back to the beginning, with roadblocks and with twists you may never have seen coming. Maybe your road splits in so many ways that you don't know which direction to take, leaving you stagnant. Every now and again, someone will come to you and pave a new path for you. Whether you take it or not is your choice, nobody can force you to take it. They can try, and they will but they won't always succeed.

Humanity, the moral center that keeps us from falling off the edge into the abyss can light a lantern over your roads and help others to follow you, as life is not something that can be overcome alone. It may be the hardest thing to do, but to rely on others is to trust yourself. Know it isn't always about the destination, but about the journey. And, about the people who have come and gone along that journey.
