Well this is new... · 7:52am Oct 28th, 2012

Hello, I'm Sparow or if you prefer or see me on some live video feed, Jackyl, might have spelled that wrong but oh well. This is a new thing to me so please refrain from dissing me too much. A brony can only take so much. Any way tell me what do you want to hear? Anything you want to here me write about? I guess I should first write something first huh?
The autumn leaves swirl around on the open field that I'm walking through. The wheat now golden to the touch, the smell of fresh cinnamon and pumpkins flow through the air. A small log cabin out in the distance near the forest, a branch hangs over the top minuscule roof. I can see the woman standing on the porch looking out over her field of life. I want to go to her, but I can't, for I was entrusted with the job to watch over this field of gold and to protect it from those who would do harm to it; no matter how small the problem was.
Her eyes glistened in the setting sun and she moved from the porch to her open door, but before entering she took one last look at the golden flowers that danced in the open wind. She muttered something under breath and I can guess what she said, "Stay safe my little ones, and may the god of harvest keep you safe." Then she goes and closes the warped door behind her.
Time for the watch now, vigilance, was what kept the fields safe and sound. Even with the waning of the moons keeping their ever watchful eyes over the world. I climbed my post that the woman had put for me. It was quit the comfortable seat, made from oak and birchwood it twisted together and went deep into the grounds. The woman had put an opal into the top and it enticed me to the point of climbing to the top of the post, to stare into its brilliant tones. I sat at the top and rolled the opal in-between my long hands, stopping every now and then to watch the dancing of the field.
Seeing an animal approach from the side, I put the glistening rock back into my pocket and float over to the animal now looking at me, I wisp down to what I could now tell was a fox.
"What is it that you seek?"
"I seek shelter and food great watcher," looking at me with wise and old eyes.
"Very well, follow me for you cannot sleep here." I float down and my feet touch the ground illuminating the path for the fox to follow. He looked at me with understanding eyes and went off with a slight bow.
I grew to a rough size of a bear and wondered through the wheat to the post and climbed up, grabbing the woven parts and hoisting myself up to the top where I sat and brought out the glimmering opal. I held it up to the moon and looked out onto the vast wheat as the opal shown its brilliance over the whole field. I saw the golden wheat twist and a soft essence comes out and turns into little merry dancing people. A soft song could be heard coming from the them as they blew in the wind.
"We will go on and shin, we will go on and grow, when everything is done, we will help those flow, thank you dear friend, for the coming of the wind, now we go on to dance, and to hear the coming wind." Flutes, piccolos, base clarinets, bassoons, and other various wind instruments could now be heard as the little golden people began to dance on the tips of the wheat. As it would bend, they would jump from one peace to the next in a rhythmic and mystifying manner. I watched as they continued this for a little over and hour and my ears began to droop as the music began to take on a soothing sound that made my eyes droop and my legs dangle down.
Taking the stone out of the moon light night that shown down upon this lone some lands I put it back into my pocket and watched as the little golden people slowly dwindled and the music faded into the nights air, that blew across the northern skies moving the clouds over to the misty mountains. I surveyed the land and skies, they where quite and that did not sit well with me I got to my feet and stood on top of the column watching as the moon went behind the clouds. I smelled the air and new that rain was approaching. I got up and searched through the satchel that lay lazily on my side.
Finally finding what I needed and pulled out a short thin silver whistle and piped a few low notes and one long one before finally slipping the thing back into the its proper place in the bag. A small cloud descended and floated towards me, on top of it was a small child, one with long ears. He wore a blue shirt with baggy dark blue pants. Looking at me he said, "And what can I do for the deity of this field? Perhaps you wish for me to send off this storm?" I nodded back with a slight smile. Clever little things these sprites where, always knowing what you where going to say before saying it. "I cannot stop the storm but I can turn it into a light downpour."
"Thank you my friend, I find myself once again in your debt."
"You can pay me back after the harvest, for you wont be needed for another few season."
"I'll bye the Honeymin brew then." I said with a slight smile, which was returned with a huge grin.
"Here take this," the sprite said, giving me a huge lily pad leaf, "even if its only a downpour it can still cause you to get wet and I know how you don't like the rain."
I looked as he departed and smiled at him, "I don't like the rain, but I love the sound of it against something." I looked at him again as he rejoined the clouds, he knew my enjoyment with the sound of the rain. As the few drops began to fall I put the pad over myself and shrunk to a size that I could be fully covered by the pad. I closed my eyes and began to listen to the fall of the rain. I stayed their for a while and just listened to the sounds of it trickle off of the pad.
I felt myself slowly doze off as the sun started to rise, my skin began to stiffen as its rays touched the base of the column. The rain still trickled off of the lily pad and I drifted off into an ever blissful slumber. I felt the woman approach and wispier her thanks. I felt a slight smile cross my face and new that when I awoke again it I would see the woman again watching her field as the sun set.

Well that was just crap. Anyway Thats what I can do in two hours or so, the idea was cool but I didn't what it to go forever. If you like this tell me and if not, tell me anyway. If you want to hear more of this story also tell me. Thanks.
