Hiatus, and a question. · 6:01am Oct 28th, 2012
So yes. Stacking Stone has been put on hold for a few reasons. One, a hurricane is about to hit my state. Two, I've run out of steam. For now.
That doesn't mean I won't be writing. Quite the opposite, in fact.
I have, in fact, several ideas of small one-shot or series stories to work on until Stacking Stones calls me back to writing.
Number one- (Working title- Sugar-coating it) A dark comedy with musical elements centered on Pinkie Pie, wherein mad science meets baking. I have a proof of concept sort of thing for it here.
Number two- Another dark comedy, involving a humanized cast. The twist being that the "mane six" are all in a psychiatric institution. Therein, Doctors Celine Stephenson and Laura Nightingale are assigned an unusual case study: the synchronized delusions of six vastly different patients. Before long, both find themselves wondering- Just how deep does the rabbit hole go?
Number three- A crossover (adventure/comedy) with Doctor Who. Time shenanigans abound as 11 runs into "Time Turner" due to a crack in the space-time. With both stuck in a warped version of 1930's America, and an unknown presence toying with them and all the inhabitants of the impossible city they find themselves in, the clock is ticking for both realities. As if that wasn't bad enough, both of them find familiar faces in the city, even when the faces themselves aren't...
Any sort of input from readers of "Stacking Stones" about what would interest them would be appreciated.
HERE I AM! ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE!

But why would you put my power out for several days and flood my basement?
In all seriousness, though, it's looking grim.
Anyways, thoughts about the other stories?
454302 I really have no opinion on the matter, They all seem interesting.
Also, because I'm awesome like that. Thats just how I roll/

Fun fact- Two of the three above stories resulted from "I drank mountain dew and then stared at my bedroom ceiling for a few hours before sliding into sleep without realizing it, so I'm somewhat lucid" dreams, and two resulted from just thinking about what to put in a story.
Guess which one overlaps?
Dr Pinkies sing-along blog?

Actually, no. I can see why you might think that, though.
(Somehow, I've forgotten to watch Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog for a matter of years.)
In actuality, the thought came to me after re-watching some episodes of Fringe. This planted the idea of "mad science Pinkie" in my head, and as I was writing the start of it, "Lament for a toy factory" came up on Grooveshark. Thus, the musical section came to be.
Then pastebin crashed and lost all of it. (I rewrote it, of course.)
I know. Write more stacking stones. (Insert nasaly laugh.)
But in all seriousness of which I have none, call upon the magic of friendship and do the anthro fic.

Oi, who said anything about anthro? I'm going to assume you mean the humanized one.
Yeah, I'm doing some framework for that. Hurricane Sandy threw New York for a bloody loop, and we've got another storm rolling in.
Still, words will happen. Lots of them. Wordy words. Words that mean other words. Words in sentences. Words in paragraphs.
Maybe words in a chapter.
471036 Words? In a chapter? Slow down, man! That's crazy talk for us hiatius folks!
