Which is to say that I put Rift-Jumper on Hiatus for now, but have established a one-shot/short-story sort of thing.
As you may have noticed, I tend to run out of steam a bit quickly on my stories.
Hence, a place to dump a bunch of one-shots, seeing as ideas around me seem to act like Tribbles.
Interesting, fuzzy, constantly making more of themselves, and utterly bloody useless.

Hello, readers who probably think I died or something! I have a new story starting, as you may have seen. However, this means Stacking Stones will be set aside for quite some time. So I ask, which story would you like me to work on more? If you want me to work on Stacking Stones, I will still work on my new story (Rift Jumper), so this means slow updates for both. On the other hand, updates for both. Or, I could work on just Rift Jumper, and hopefully update it quickly.

On top of th- Oh. Twilight's still waiting for an explanation. Whoops. End the inner monologue. It feels like you left her standing there for months. Pff, yeah. Like anyone could just drop something for that long.

Quite the contrary. There is, in fact, a new chapter that is nearly complete- I just have to finish tying the end of it together nicely, let my proofreading squad have a go at it, and then I'll be posting it. I expect it will be good to go by Friday at the latest.

Not actually putting new chapter up, should the site be telling you so. Only doing some revisions and reworkings of the first few chapters.

So yes. Stacking Stone has been put on hold for a few reasons. One, a hurricane is about to hit my state. Two, I've run out of steam. For now.

That doesn't mean I won't be writing. Quite the opposite, in fact.

I have, in fact, several ideas of small one-shot or series stories to work on until Stacking Stones calls me back to writing.

Chapter 7 (The Ponish Inquisition) of Stacking Stones has just been reworked for clearer dialogue.

This means a departure from the previous format I used of small chunk paragraphs.
However, this also makes it much easier to read the dialogue.
It is likely the story will stick to this format from this point on due to the increase in spoken interactions between characters.

Tomorrow's first chapter will be titled "First Contact".
Work will begin at around 2 or 3 PM EST, and continue until I'm out of creativity, or 1AM. Whichever comes first.
