I'm surprised you're rewriting your story. I read abit of it while I was on Sunday pass during my training at Fort Leonard Wood (Army MP OSUT). It took me a while to get used to the 2nd person narration and the fact that the characters are humanized. lol
I was unable to read it all until after graduation and settling down at my duty station. I'm looking forward for the remake and I say stick with 2nd person narration.

Thanks to everyone for the comments and thoughts. It's going to be second-person and humanized again. I might go with the soldier idea again, but I'm not sure. Thoughts on that?
I enjoy HiE stories, but as much as I enjoy crossovers... Well-written military HiE really catch my attention; especially the ones written by actual service members.
So I say "yay" for your soldier idea for the rewrite.
