I'm Gonna Be on Texas Public Radio! · 1:04am Dec 4th, 2017
Cool announcement: I was in a writer's workshop class and one of my fellow writers asked if I would like to share a story as part of Texas Public Radio's "Worth Repeating." The goal of this program is to find and share stories across San Antonio by collecting seven storytellers and having seven-minute monologues. She heard about my fanfictions and wanted to know how I got into writing, so I prepared a speech (which I would like to have memorized before the event on December 12). I actually just got done with a rehearsal. It was very cool, the people were very nice, polite and sweet.
I will be sharing the story of how I became a Brony with an audience of 200 people, and describing how Spike got me into the fandom. Afterwards, TPR will upload my recording to their website, so you could all hear my live recording (and yes, you'd finally get to know what I sound like *le gasp*).
It's really awesome. Anyways, I was thinking of uploading the monologue sometime after the event. Thanks for inspiring me, and I hope you'll give it a listen.
Whaaa!? San Antonio?! brother, it's a small world! What's your favorite thing about this place; the taco trucks that give you food poisoning, the beggers on every highway entrance and exit, or the loud obnoxious Latino music when the spurs play!?
Congratulations! That sounds awesome and I'm happy for your accomplishment, way to go!

Ah man! That brings me back! Used to live right next to the tracks! The blaring horn would lull me to sleep as it rang in tandem with the soft staccato of either gunfire or fireworks. (One could never tell the difference!)
4742190 You make it sound beautiful. Very nice.
