    Shedding a Little Light

I don't know if anyone's interested or not, but in any case I thought I'd share anyway.

This is just to shed a little more light on my OC Chance. Since he (and Sorbet) are my only OC's, I though "why not?" So far I've only made Chance's info, Sorbet's will come later on.

So! If anyone's interested, Here it is! LinkLinkLink

So I, being my dumb and derp self, have created a dilemma for myself.

I don't wanna give out too much (cuz at this point I don't even have enough to give), so I'm just gonna ask y'all:

    Chrysalis or Rarity???

Again, not gonna say anymore than this, but...which one?

An Old OC Fic I scrapped · 2:20am Oct 29th, 2017

Basically what the title says. It was going to be an M-rated introductory fic for my OC Chance, but I never got around to finishing it :/

I'm managing my stories right now, and figured "well, why not?" So here it is!

Let Your Mane Down Just For Tonight...

The scribbling of a quill could be heard in a solitary room. A guard stands before the ruler of Equestria, waiting stoically for the documents she was finishing. With a quiet breath of relief, Celestia signs the final sheet and hands the stack to the waiting guard. "Here you go. See to it that it gets to the mayor please."

"At once, princess!" With a brief bow of his head, the guard took the documents given to him and went out from the room. As soon as the doors were closed behind him, princess Celestia gave a weary sigh and leaned back into her arm chair.

She cast a distant eye to the window off to the right of her desk. It was nighttime now, and Luna was out doing her usual rounds around Equestria, watching out for their ponies as they slept. It wasn't dreadfully late, but the monarch felt mentally weary. She had finally caught up with the last of the waiting documents for the day, and nothing immediate was needing her attention, so with a heavy sigh through her lips she rose from her seat and gave her limbs a stretch. Her white sarong swayed with her movements. With a wince, Celestia opened up her wings and flapped them about to shake off the aches in her back muscles.

Celestia glanced up at the grandfather clock to see that it was fifteen till midnight. 'Not exactly late for a night of quillwork but it feels like the night dragged on longer than usual.' Celestia let out another breath and put her things away, closed up the little office room she had been occupying and started the journey to her bedchamber. She always thought the maze of ridiculously long hallways was...well, ridiculous, but she was too mentally drained to use her magic just to transport herself to her bed. Waking up with a migraine at the base of your horn wasn't how she liked to raise the sun, so walking would have to do.

She passed by many rooms and antechambers leading to bigger parts of the castle, such as the royal armory and the library, and along the way, she happened to cross the royal kitchen. Violet eyes glanced quickly to the left and to the right. Once the coast was clear, Celestia carefully made her way inside. She cursed the fashioned shoes at her hooves, the material clinking loudly against the tile and discarded them to the side for the time being. She used the light of her magic to guide her to her target: Left over cake from the evening dessert that had accompanied dinner.

As Celestia reached the refrigeration locker, a noise caught her ear. It sounded like a muted buzz saw being used under a few layers of heavy blankets. She knew no one would leave the waste disposal on in one of the sinks, and it was too low to be one of the dishwashers. The princess grumbled low and switched direction, keeping herself low enough to remain hidden amidst the countertops.

She rounded a corner and came to the kitchen's wide sink, and underneath it the double cabinet doors were opened. Between them lay a snoring stallion, clad in nothing more than a pair of black slacks and a white tank with tools and other things scattered at his sides. Celestia knew immediately who it was and couldn't help but to let out a muffled "snkkrr!" at seeing him in such a silly way.

Celestia levitated a nearby dishrag that was still soaked and, using both hands to stifle her mischievous giggling, let it drop over the stallions head. Immediately he began sputtering loudly and flailing his arms about. "ACK!! GHKK! FLOOD! FLOOD ALERT IN THE-" He suddenly bolted upright and banged his head against the wooden edge of the cabinet and fell onto his back with a groan, clawed hands clutching his head. The princess let out a gasp and lit her horn further. "Oh my! I- I'm so sorry Chance! Are you alright?!"

She focused her eyes as her magic brightened, using it to remove the dish rag from his muzzle. Celestia grabbed him by his wide shoulders and raised up slightly upright, not surprised by his solid and heavy frame. Chance let out another groan and shook his head. "Uuuuhh. D'you catch the number of thuh train tha' hit me?"

Celestia bit back a chuckle and inspected his forehead. "Hm. No swelling, but it got red. You'll be fine, silly."

Chance shook the remaining dizziness from his head and groaned once more before focusing his golden eyes. He then spotted his old friend and immediately smiled. "Oh hey, Cellie! What brings you 'round here?"

"I could say the same thing for you, Chance. I don't think many would consider under the sink to be a good place to nap."

At his friends' playful words Chance chuckled sheepishly and looked around at his mess. "Yeah. Guess I knocked out after repairing the pipes here." He then looks knowingly at Celestia, a grin forming on his muzzle. "You're looking for the cake, aren't you?"

Celestia faltered for a heartbeat but masked her blunder with a polite "Ahem!" behind her clenched hand. "I- I don't know what you're talking about. I simply heard a noise and came to investigate."

Chance chuckled in mirth and got up onto his hooves. He then held out a clawed hand to Celestia for her to take and continued to grin. "C'mon. I saw where the cooks put it away. If I'm not mistaken, I think it had strawberries layered in with vanilla butter frosting." His grin widened when he saw Celestia's mouth open and her eyes vacant and hungry.

"Strawberries...Vanilla butter frosting?"

"Uhh....Cellie?" Chance waves a hand in front of her face and chuckles as he led her to the hidden goods, muttering while chuckling, "I lost her."

Tools clattered noisily in the tool belt and echoed throughout the hall. Yet it was the sound of a fork scraping against a plate that drowned out the metallic clinks of tools in Chance's belt. As he and Celestia went down another hall, he couldn't help but to stare at her as the ruler of Equestria tore mercilessly into the baked confectionary with all the grace and ferocity of a starved lioness devouring her kill.

It made for quite a sight as Chance stared on, an eyebrow arched upward in amusement.

"They are feeding you here, right?"

Celestia swallowed what was in her mouth and stuck her tongue out at him, bits of frosting and crumbs plastered on the sides of her mouth. "Shush you!"

Purple met gold in a glare and for a moment the two stopped in their tracks, staring each other down as if meeting in a showdown and becoming silent. That same silence is shattered when Chance and Celestia broke from their stern gazes and cracked up in heart laughter. The two soon fell into an easy silence, save for the gentle sounds of an eating utensil scraping lightly against a dessert plate, calmer this time.

Celestia felt as peace with the tranquility her old friend brought with him. Even as little tykes growing up, Chance always made her and Luna more at ease than any of their caretakers could. He never expected anything from them. Never threw their royal standing in their faces or treated them like delicate works of art. To Chance, both her and Luna were just two alicorn mares he happily called his friends. She knew he respected their status and would act appropriately when around other royals. And sometimes the guards.

Her mind must've drowned everything else out, because in the next moment Celestia's shoulder was being gently nudged by her companion. "W-What?"
