Perhaps this a bit of weird gripe I'm about to air.
Did anything besides me wonder how all ponies other than unicorns (and alicorns) would wear wedding jewelry? I know it is convenient to stick the ring on the horn and call it good but what about the others?
I've read a story or two where the pegasi wear them on a primary wing feather or something like that. And I remember that my "bride and groom" ponies as a child (which I think are in storage waiting for my nieces) had a ring that went on the leg. But neither of those options seem that secure to me. And, unless, the ring winds its way do the unicorns spiral on the horn, I don't think that is secure in the long term.
Honestly, I would think that some sort of earring would make the most amount of sense. Maybe a piercing in a certain location to indicate marital status? We've seen Rarity wear earrings on the lower part of her lobe. And I had (maybe still have) a pony that has it on closer to the top but that could be more of a manufacturing decision.
Earrings just make more sense to me.
