Irma. · 5:33am Sep 8th, 2017
As well all know, Hurricane Irma is a Category 5 Hurricane with current maximum sustained winds of 165MPH.
It's probably going to make a direct hit on Florida. Different forecast models have going up the east coast of Florida but also central Florida.
The last time something like the latter happened was Hurricane Andrew in 1992.
Here's a comparison of the sizes of Andrew and Irma (Andrew is on the left btw) at Category 5 status (Picture is from here: http://digg.com/2017/hurricane-irma-vs-andrew-florida)
I have family and friends in the path of this thing...I'm praying for them.
The governor of Florida has said this is much worse than Andrew...which says something.
