Update to Season 7 MLP Reaction Blogs

So although the blog last night stated my entire weird, and slightly humorous, rant on missing season 7 (minus 4 episodes so far. Ep 1 & 2 Premier, 3 with Auntie Twilight (BEST AUNT EVER) and Flurry Heart, and Rainbow Dash and her parents being introduced. As I am browsing the web early this morning around 6 AM, I hop on Netflix and I see the red banner with white letters saying New Episodes on

Welcome to the typed reaction blog of Season 7, Episode 1 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

"Celestial Advice"

Episode 1 of season 7 started off on the right hoof. Spike talking to Starlight while Twilight measuring for a random reason while Starlight was distracted talking to Spike. Understandably after Starlight, Discord, Trixie, and the reformed changeling Thorax helped save the Changeling Kingdom and defeat Queen Chrysalis, they were all the honorable guests of the party that Twilight was set to throw in her castle later that afternoon. AND THEN CHAOS! No just kidding, but Discord actually makes his appearance in the season opener, as he was one of the honored heroes of the Changeling Kingdom. As the ceremony for the four heroes take place, we see each one get a similar resemblance to what appears to be a purple heart. As per the usual, Discord played a ton of fun jokes and humor and even picked on Twilight to try and get her to "spill the beans" about the announcement she was going to deliver on behalf of Starlight. He states that Starlight is not phased by the so called "3 years of friendship lessons (Hasbro? Are you already counting future seasons so soon again?) However, Twilight really didn't have a prioritized and organized thought as to what she wanted for her student, Starlight. IT is HIGHLY UNUSUAL for Twilight to actually be unorganized or prepared, I mean a nerdy UniAliPrincessCorn (tongue tied on that one saying it tons of times fast haha) who is unprepared for her student and organization? UN...HEARD OF!!! I mean Twilight should be able to stand there confidently and fork it straight to that slippery prankster. However, Discord does what he does best and stresses the purple Princess out and eventually we are following right behind her as Spike opens the door and (Something the fanbase just understands now) asks, "Are you reading a book again during an event?" He is surprised to see Twilight going through all the scrolls of friendship lessons to find a more precise one that may have not already been taught, however all of the lessons were exhausted. And then we see the Teacher asking the Teacher about what to do with a student who has mastered friendship, and her youthful progress.

We run into Celestia with Spike and Twilight, who of course was already stressing, but eased up as she saw the royal Princess at her table. Okay... hold up. This scene actually made me laugh a little bit. I felt bad for Twilight's stress, but could not help but giggle here and there with Celestia's facial expressions while sitting at the table, just smiling and listening to Twilight. Seems legit. No, no, no, Celestia we "know" you are listening to your old student, don't trip up now. Twilight asks her old mentor, how and where and what to do with her student, Starlight. However, shortly after saying that and talking to Celestia for a moment, she paused and remembered herself being sent to Ponyville in years past. Celestia bowed her head in a short expression of sadness, remembering also the time she had sent the purple filly to Ponyville, and Twilight mentioning about Starlight having to leave and go somewhere. Twilight eventually runs through magic scenarios of places that would work for Starlight's growth including helping teach the Changeling Kingdom to compromise, then darkens it by thinking a changeling could go bad and cause troubles for Starlight by impersonating her. Next we have Ember and Starlight being fierce competitive friends (I really laughed hard with how they greet each other on the opening scene, then we see the dragons all wanting to hang out with her, and diving into a pool of lava. Ahahaha. Sorry, but half the fandom originally wanted Starlight to be burned, and lava would carry that a bit above the average burn. I can just see a lot of the bronies all cheering watching Starlight fall down towards the lava pool, then the wooshing of a magic sound and we are back in the castle with Spike, Celestia, and Twilight. Yep toooooo bad! Starlight is here to stay (Says Hasbro. *shots fired by bronies*) Our last scene reunites us with Sunburst x Starlight (JUST BUCK ALREADY) Ahem, I mean Starlight and her best friend Sunburst. We see tons of unique magic, including Starlight turning a vase with potion in it, or something of that caliber, into a Cuckoo Clock, which actually is great because where the little bird is, it is actually Flurry Heart going in and out of the Cuckoo Door above the clock. Spike just doesn't care as much at this point and even counts Twilight down from 3 to cue her in on drama. Spike... come on now man, don't.... don't be like that man. No wonder you do get picked on and annoying to other ponies and such. Just playin. Twilight and Sunburst are combining spells to make an advanced hole in time to bring a historical relic to them. They draw.... wait.... wait.... YEAH METAL-GEAR PONY! Oh wait, it's a black hole... We return to the castle where Twilight is crying and Spike is soothing her. Now that is how you do it brother dragon! Twilight mentions how she still does not know, and Celestia starts laughing randomly, confusing Twilight to think she is being laughed at by the most royal sister. Twilight... your egg headed self makes us all laugh at you a lot, and your drama freakouts are hysterically funny. We soon hear Celestia's story of the young filly student Twilight years and years ago as we flashback. HOLD! We actually are seeing a new in depth story of Celestia's Teachings and Twilight's outshining progress of her fellow friends and peers. Celestia proved to be just as much as an over thinker for many things that could happen and go wrong. STOP! Okay, we actually have a scene of Celestia in Ponyville talking of the mane 6 and determining to send her there, but still unsure of the choice, But, as Celestia has watched her former student, now a Princess, grow and mature, her worries subsided and she admitted how this too would come to pass for Starlight. Celestia seriously is a great motherly mentor. Later we return to the main hall, where all the ponies are gathered looking forward, Starlight a few feet or more ahead of them for the honor from Twilight. She opens with how pleased she is on Starlight's Progress, then shocks everypony by announcing that it was Starlight's graduation day. 4% of the fandom waving tiny flags showing #1. Starlight really is an emotional roller coaster as Twilight talks to her and Starlight exclaims that she does not want to leave. Twilight was super pleased and presented her with (remember the measurements at the beginning?) a giant mirror for her room with pictures of all her friends in some small pictures. It was really happy to see that even on my perspective, the mirror actually looked really great in the show, and the pictures are not all squished together or blurry.

Overall Brief Summary:
Honestly, this opener was a bit more quirky and slightly cluttered around the episode itself I feel. The scene and ponies could have been slightly more arranged in less cluttered ways. However, that was all I found to really peak my dislike. The episode was flawless in the animations of the emotions the ponies show, and of course the voice actors and actresses voiced as accurately as ever. Not like we would ever have the voice actors and actresses switch characters and voice the other ponies in their elements and personality. Oh my Celestia (Appropriate nickname) could you imagine an episode where instead of cutie marks, like Magical Mystery Cure (Season 3, episode 13/finale) we have an episode that involves the voice actors and actresses to switch to another pony, and talk like them and their attitudes. Pfft... Just use some Poison Joke, it will all clear up.

Notes:
-Spike refers to Twilight using her last name as 'Sparkle.' This is also used widely in the fandom with her name, not just the show. Thanks Hasbro!
-Twilight says "Celestia knows where." Celestia is a fandom replacement swear word, most commonly heard as, "Oh My Celestia!" Again, Thanks Hasbro!
-We see a brief portion of the Equal Village ponies that Starlight is friends with.
-Pinkie Pie was used as comic relief during Thorax's necklace would not go over his antlers.
-We see Fluttershy say "Oh, Boy!" exuberantly, just after Twilight says in a sad way, "Oh, boy." I do not have an exact pinpoint on Fluttershy saying this, although some possible theories are a deleted scene, she is trying to help Twilight cheer up, or they set Andrea Libman up to have some quick fun.
