I guess I'm just one of those fans

I've loved my little pony since the first season but I only dip my toes into the fandom every once in a while. TBH there are a few creeps that like to give it a bad name but thats pretty true of every fandom. Every time I try to jump in I've run into them though and shied off. I however have always really liked the works of art, animation, fanfiction, and the radio plays. Its always nice for the off season and having the read aloud audiobooks is great for work but there was a lack of some of my favorite works being adapted and not really any serious attempts being made to make them so I decided to do it myself. I'm starting with Long Road To Friendship by The Albinocorn. I have a few more lined up though that I might start soon so I don't get burnt out.
