"Parental Glidance"

Am I the only one that finds the episode “Parental Glidance” painful to watch? Sitting here watching it with my daughter and this episode is just so much cringe. Dash’s parents and Scootaloo were a little over the top during the whole episode.

4564920 True, I think that Twilight has the most normal parents out of the Mane 6. Of course we might find out this season what they are really like and maybe AJ’s parents, if they are still alive that is.

Twilights parents are anything but normal. They produced 2 super unicorns. And both became royalty. But yeah normal wise they win so far.

4565065 Okay, maybe I should rephrase that a bit. They seem to be the most balanced parents out of the bunch. They cared enough to be encouraging to both their kids without being overbearing, yet gave them enough space to figure out what they wanted without being mostly absent, and (unlike Fluttershy’s parents) knew when to be firm. I honestly think that most of Twilight’s social issues were made worse by Celestia actually.

I hated fluttershys parents, i was expecting some super buff dad and a wanna be party pop star girl mom. And rainbow dash's parents were an even bigger let down, i expected ex wonderbolts. But its nice to know dashs mom was alive. Odly enough i actually prefer mr. and mrs. Cake, crazy with calm mixed jist right.
