Brief Hiatus · 1:50am Oct 6th, 2012
I need to take a bit of a hiatus. The next chapter of Familiar Faces is going to be about 9000 words or more because it encompasses an entire week, unless y'all think I should just skip my suffering through detoxing off of anti-depressants. Darkest of Days is either going to jump ahead to the next encounter, or deal with Twilight explaining what happened. I'm trying to go for more action over words in that one so I might jump. Diary of a Pony is... stuck. I don't know where I'm going with it. Sunrise needs to be completely reworked. I'm just glad I could finish Latex & Lace before this all hit me.
Plus, Monday and Tuesday I finally do my cadet thing at work which means I'll be eligible for my own route if all goes well. That means getting used to a new work schedule, remembering how to pack a lunch that's easily eaten while driving or briefly stopped and keep it cold if necessary, and having my day go from "mostly free" to "I have to work from x to x every day but the weekend."
It's also an afternoon shift, the route I'd like to get, and that's when I'm the most awake and usually working on these things. Suffice to say it'll be a couple of weeks before anything else updates unless you want I should skip the week of suffering. Then maybe I can have something by sunday evening.
It also doesn't help that I keep having new ideas for stories, lately there have been a lot of "What ifs" revolving around the rainboom or other pivotal events in the lives of the mane six, how to exactly handle the story of Vinyltavia foals, the sequel to Bloomin' Heat, and about nine other stories of varying levels of win.
So, I'm just gonna take a hiatus, work on my Pregnant Applebloom ask tumblr and then come back to it all fresh.
Take the break and deal with the anti-depressants. I went though a time of depression in my life and things almost didn't turn out for me because i didn't try to deal with it. I personally think that ones own health should come before their craft so they can continue doing it for years to come. I enjoyed your story Latex and Lace seeing as it was a new twist on something that has been done over and over again. And for the record I don't normally leave comments when I enjoy what an author is doing with a story out of fear of them changing things. But back to the subject don't be afraid to take time off from writing we have daily life's too and the fan-base is loving and understanding about pretty much everything. So even if you take a break we'll still be here waiting.
PS. Manly tears were shed in the writing of this comment.

Well, I'm pretty sure it's a chemical imbalance and not something that can be dealt with through therapy. Last time I was off my meds I lost my job, my apartment, and 90% of my friends.
408071 Well, take it slow and things should work out. Your writing has already caught my interest so odds are I will look at your other stories after i finish up reading Griffin the griffin. Who knows maybe some day I can show you a story that's worse then anything you've done if i figure out what to write next lol.
