Since it seems to have become my niche, I'm brainstorming the next MLP/HPL piece - Lyra and a certain degenerate seaside town. Riffing on the Lyra as Seapony meme, of course. A salt-drunk pegasus named Mackerel Sky as an Expy of Zadok Allen is a must, too. But I don't want it to be a poor ripoff of The Shadow Over Innsmouth either....
So, any ideas or suggestions? I'd like it to be more humorous than Stars, but perhaps less so than Statement, and go in directions that readers of the original won't suspect.
I should call the town Hinnysmouth - since Hinnies are equine hybrids....

Are you aware of a movie called Dagon, its a film adaptation of The Shadow Over Innsmouth, its got a pretty good start up, a few friends vacationing on the coast of spain, hell slowly starts to break loose from there, but as for the sea pony lyra thing, is she supposed to become a seapony over the course or at the end of the story? She is perfect for the main protagonist. Also you might want to throw Octavia in there as well, she could also become octotavia. what do you think?
426378 Haven't decided yet - finding the right balance between HPL and MLP counts for a lot. It probably won't be as dark as Stars, or the Star sequel.
Its up to you, Im currently reading the original Shadow Over Innsmouth. But balance is important, so thats your call. But its a very interesting idea to me and I cant wait to see what you come up with
