    🏳️‍🌈

It's genuinely so surreal coming back here half a decade later. Like, girl, I've kept up better with my Runescape fanfiction than my MLP fanfiction. What's going on over here? How's the community looking?

Flashes on the Horizon Posted, As Promised!

Well, sorta. Being the attention-grasping goblin I am, I'm not going to submit it properly until it gets accepted by EQD.* It's a little trick to get extra views that just might this time land me on the Featured list!**

    Back on Track

RitB resumes very soon. I've been pretty crazy busy, but I'm setting a new goal. You're all witnesses. I will complete Rats in the Belfry and start posting another work besides (or finish editing Fresh Timber, whatevs) before Everfree Northwest! That is my solemn oath!

As Celestia is my witness, I'll never go hungry again!

Fresh Timber - Where doin it man

    where MAKING THIS HAPEN

That's right--I'm gonna start editing Fresh Timber for the first time in a good time. It's time to clean this up. I've been working hard on Peace or Harmony, but Fresh Timber's right there, starin' right at me, all like "dude, what about me" and I can't let that dude down.

Merriwether Williams - Why The Hate?

Merriwether Williams is a show writer--writer of the controversial "Mysterious Mare-Do-Well" episode. Since then, she hasn't been able to catch a break. Some of her episodes, like "Dragon Quest" and "Wonderbolt Academy", get nitpicked until a proper flaw can be found. Others, like "Hearth's Warming Eve", just get ignored, because they're honestly good episodes and people don't want to acknowledge

Peace or Harmony Semi-Completed! · 5:07am Oct 3rd, 2012

I have completed the first stage of editing in my book, which I'm going to be calling Peace or Harmony.

In the show, the ancestors of six well-known ponies defeated windigoes, settled differences, and united a kingdom.
Things won't go quite as smoothly when half of those ancestors have gone missing beforehand, though.
The three rulers are gone, and they were replaced with much more dangerous ones. Rulers who are, in fact, dead serious. And since some of the assistants didn't get appointed, and others went missing looking for their old masters...things are getting dark. Soon, they'll get bloody.
Far away from affairs of state, a somewhat unstable unicorn mare known as Jade Trellis hears of the approaching war. Realizing that drowning her sorrows in an earth pony tavern will soon become very much unsafe, the herbalist teams up with a pair of pegasi deserters and sets out.
Where they're heading is anypony's guess. On the way, they will meet up with a very logical bandit, an optimistic monk, and a naive practitioner of an obscure branch of magic. They will band together in the struggle for survival.
On the way, they might find the solution to the strange blizzard that has begun to tear up their land.
They might also find that their diverse group has more power behind its stability than simple self-preservation.
They might even find that the two secrets are closely linked indeed.

A story set in the "Pre-Equestrian Age". It's in an alternate universe, where, for special reasons (yes, there are reasons, and the reasons aren't "because alternate universe"), the three rulers are not in command. As such, things get a bit unpleasant. This story stars six OCs, and almost involves two canon characters. Almost, but not quite. (There are some proper canon characters, but I ain't saying which)

The story can currently be found here. I hugely appreciate critique--I need outside opinions to proceed any further. It's certainly not yet complete.

Thanks for reading.

I haven't read any of your stories yet, but I was intrigued by our discussion on Paleo's blog so I thought I'd check you out. This story of yours sounds interesting, I took a quick peek at the google docs you have there and I have to admit it has some potential. You still want people to look over it? I'd be willing to, but I've got a tight schedule with school, so the soonest I could would probably be friday and whatever free time I have before then. What do you think?

That would be amazing. I'd be very much in your debt, chap. :pinkiehappy:
And I'm currently doing NaNoWriMo, so there isn't any big rush, either. Whenever works for you!
