New Year · 4:46am Jan 1st, 2017
I want to type a little wrap-up for 2016 so I don't have to think about what a general garbage fire this year was. I mean, there were plenty of great moments, but the future is looking... well, a bit grim. Anyways, this blog isn't long enough to justify a page break, I don't think.
A lot of significant events happened to me this year. I came out of the closet at school and in public as a transgender girl on January 7th. I began my senior year of high school on August 18th. I turned 16 on August 10th. I shut down my first account on the site and moved to this one on February 17th. I suppose you could say that a lot of significant events tend to happen every year, but, well, these ones are... more significant. Coming out, turning 16, starting my last year of school, and cutting off two years of work is a lot. Almost overwhelming. I think that's the kind of year 2016 was.
I just want to put this year behind me. A lot of stuff happened that I don't have dates for. My father told me that he didn't love my mother, was only with her for the health insurance, wanted to cheat on her with one of his coworkers. My mother told me that being trans was a waste of my life and that she would never support my transition. Not the best year for my family life, but I suppose that's the way things go sometime.
In 2017, I'd like to take up drawing and writing again. I've been working for a long time on a story idea unrelated to MLP, and I'd love to be able to draw it out instead of writing it, because I think a visual format would suit it much better.
Anyways, that's it from me. Happy New Year!
