It was on the 30th. But close enough. I'm now twenty-one, and of legal age to get wasted. I suppose it's a good thing that I don't drink a lot in the first place. I didn't really do anything for my birthday... like... at all. My family is extremely distanced nowadays, and we don't even do many holidays together. That's really not too big of a deal, as I was never that huge of a fan of big gatherings. Still, it would be nice to have a group of the closest family doing a thing to ease tension. But beggars can't be choosers. We love each other, that has to be good enough, I guess.
Honestly, I don't know what to put in this blog. Trying to make it lengthy enough to warrant putting out a blog. I was never a fan of putting myself in the spotlight, and that's why I never had any huge birthday parties. I always found it weird when people focused on me, and acted like I was king shit for the day. I mean, sure, a birthday is a big deal. Congratulations, you made it to another year without dying! Sure, that's important enough. But I feel that people put too much importance into it than it deserves. But that's just me, and I have many idiosyncrasies that others might find "out of the norm."
There's my birthday present to me! A birthday rant! Aren't I the best to me?
But anyway, I hope you're all having a wonderful December, and I sure hope it snows soon in my part of Iowa. It's December, and it hasn't even blocked us in our houses. That's a terrible sign. That means when it does snow, it'll kick our asses all the way to May or something. Mother Nature's kind of a bitch like that.
OH! I totally forgot. I won a contest with Stand at Attention, Corporal! One hundred dollars via Amazon gift card. Gotta say, that's a pretty great birthday present even if it really was just great timing than anything else.
