Inspired by One Punch Man, what if Trixie is really more great and powerful than her parlor tricks and false bravado let on? The only reason she didn't attempt to defeat the Ursa Minor was because her deft touch would cause it to explode with the force, and devastating effects, of a sonic rainboom. During a routine delivery Derpy uncovers the secret while cutting through the Everfree Forest, and (taking on the role of Genos) asks to become Trixie's protege/acolyte/disciple.
Naturally, the enemies will come from the dungeons and dragons monster compendium and the idea would be that she's a ridiculously OP unicorn that makes the princesses look physically impotent except when it comes to magic, the only thing unicorns are recognized for... I believe someone already toyed with this idea using Flutershy, and Flurry Heart or Sweetie Belle would make an equally amusing follower. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about the leisure class to know what they could be doing that would allow them to see her unbridled power outside of being kidnapped. Which, in my opinion, doesn't make for as compelling a story. And, while I think it could be equally amusing, I pretty much dismiss Daring Do as a hero worshiper, side kick, or naive follower of Trixie's because the irony alone would fall like an anvil.
This is a fantastic idea actually
I would not mind giving a try at writing it some day...
