Look, i'll be honest with you guys.
I Fucking love Knights.
Now, my admiration for these armored badasses is not founded RPG's or fantasy tropes, not founded on "false knights" and the fact that I have French knight-blood pumping through my veins. No, its all about what they stand for.
Sure, there were probably knights that did some messed up things. But I'm willing to bet my life savings that most of the time, Knights protected what they stood for, and what they believed in.
That's why I find the Warden from For Honor to be so fascinating. They, in the words of their gameplay trailer, are "sworn to defend the weak." "They fight for what is right. " "Driven by duty, devoted to their people."
This was the basis of a Knight's vows, his code and oath to keep. This very code and morality that the knights fought and died for is what I live for today.
So...in other words, the Warden from For Honor is the best representation of a knight, a true knight, in video games.
