Why Is Twilight Attracted To Flash? (NOT FLASH-BASHING) · 6:50pm Oct 10th, 2016
Alright guys, I know that many people have already questioned this, but I have yet to find a decent answer.
WHY THE HAY IS TWILIGHT (v. pony) ATTRACTED TO FLASH SENTRY?
Look at it logically: Twilight is a pony in a human's body. Anything she finds attractive should be a pony, zebra, hippogriff, etc: in short, anything that actually exists in Equestria. As far as she's concerned, she just stumbled into a world full of weird noodle creatures. Just imagine: you step through a portal and you immediately see talking horses that are twice as tall as you are, bipedal, with weird colored flesh and no hair. Oh and also, you are one as well. Is your first reaction a) to freak the buck out and run for the hills as fast as you can or b) blush, play with your hair, and ponder about how handsome/beautiful this anthromorphic horse/human alien thing is? She doesn't even know what human standards of beauty are. Geez, its like being attracted to the Bug in Men in Black.
The only thing I can think of is that Flash wears her brother's colors; blue, white, with a shield emblem. But that still doesn't explain the strange desire to mate/date him. So... answers please?
Oh c'mon, the only explanation to this is that Equestria Girls is a kids cartoon and Hasbro just needed to add some love interest for the main character. I have literally no idea how this would work in a real life and I totally agree with you about Bug parallel. Buuuut... Doesn't that make impossible to ship Sunset with any human from EqG? Because, she's a pony too. But I like to think that Sunset just got used to humans, since she lived in that world about three or four years. But it's really weird that Twilight fell into the first human she ever met, because really, that's just stupid! And Twilight is anything but stupid! At least, most of times. But, I think she might be attracted to Flash because he helped her to stand against Sunset Shimmer in the first movie, but that still doesn't explain how Twilight could be possibly attracted to him physically.
4249968 mhm yeah if sunset jumped through the portal at the beginning of high school and she's 17-18 she would've had 3-4 years to get used to humans. either that or she isn't attracted to a human's looks, but rather their personality. even if twilight is like that as well there isn't much (of flash's) personality to fall in love with.

Well horses do have an estrus cycle (in heat, can only concieve at one point in the year) so maybe it was just a hormone rush
I always liked Terry Pratchett's explanation of the morphic field. The shape of the thing impresses itself onto the wearer. Taking Sunset as an example, the longer she stays a human, the more the natural human subconscious starts to take hold, and overwrite the Equestrian pony subconscious.
