Hiatuses (Hiati?)

I'm putting this story and this story on hiatus until further notice. The reasons:
1. Loss of interest due to forgone conclusions. Anyone with access to Netflix Instant, Wikipedia, or Google (read:everyone) already knows what's going to happen, or doesn't care enough to find out. So, I don't care enough to write it.
2. Self-disdain. I read some of the 'How to Writes' and was reminded that it's terribly unoriginal. In small doses, the idea of switching out characters seemed funny. So, I tried extending one that held promise. Only, it really turned into inserting pony puns and references into an existing story. Although I'm not the first to comment on the unoriginality I've been the slowest to let it stop me from continuing the travesty.
3. Better Examples of the idea. In addition to the above, I've been mentally converted to another own form of the idea, which seems far better done.

Now, I'm leaving these stories on hiatus rather than cancelling them outright, because I might return to the shorter Ponifies at least sometime in the distant future.

However, the idea of interaction between different universes still holds appeal, so I've started attempting Crossovers. Naturally, they'll be horrible or at least not terribly good at first. Useful feedback appreciated. And I've also got some ideas for FIM specific fictions, though it's a tossup as to whether the next one I finish will be a Crossover or a FIM only.

So, TL;DR: Ponification paused, possibly permanently. Pending pieces presently.
