4194031 Okay, so, if you aren't familiar with the Danganronpa series, it's basically a story in which anyone can die. And I know that. Nobody really has plot armor.
Except, one of the two characters who I REALLY didn't want to die died. She was a survivor (the heroine, actually) of the first game. She was frequently shipped with the protagonist, and just a really rad character. And then she died in the newest episode. Some people expected her to die, and they were probably right (then again, the creator has pranked us before, so I'm still not going to believe she's actually dead until the next episode). Also, reasons why her death was so sad would require some context, but the saddest is probably that my OTP (for the first game, at least) is dead now. And they will never be canon.
Oh yeah, and two other characters died in the episode, plus we see a flashback of a character who died earlier in the anime. All three of these were also pretty sad. (Even though I hated one of the characters who died, but her death was really brutal.) So, that's basically why the Danganronpa fandom is screaming now. Not that we weren't screaming before of course, but it's even louder now.

4194115 well as you said she was a survivor of the first game, so may be they decided to kill her to let other new characters shine, to give them the spotlights, and somehow use her death to inspire her friends
