Just A Little Poem I Made Out Of Boredom · 2:17am Aug 16th, 2016
The Day's Song
A cacophony of noise
Greets me as I enter.
The throb of my heart,
Becomes the tick of a metronome;
The sound of shoes hitting pavement,
Becomes the beat of a drum;
The sound of people's voices,
Becomes the screech of a violin;
The wind passing through the trees,
Becomes the scratch of a cello;
And the call of the morning birds,
Becomes a kirtan of flutes.
I greet the day,
With a smile on my face,
While the day's song,
Sings it's tune into my attentive ear.
