A note on OCs and a quick announcement

Though most may be unaware, I actually have two OCs, though one will likely only show up in the rare one-shot story.

My recurring OC is Shadow Gray, a long-time resident of Ponyville and the caretaker of the Golden Oak Library prior to Twilight's arrival. He has a dark gray coat, black mane and tail, and piercing blue eyes, the sort that seem as though they're looking into you rather than at you. He doesn't really look all that old (though even Granny Smith remembers him being around when she was young), but his voice has developed the raspy quality often associated with age and he walks with a hobbled gait. To the best of common knowledge, nopony has ever seen him without the long flowing cloak that covers the majority of his body. He first appeared in The Alicorn Prince.

The second is that fellow in the top corner of my page, my avatar (pony-tar?) whom I've recently decided to name Parody. His cutie mark, a quill pen and microphone crossed behind a treble clef, is an indication of my own love for writing, singing, and most of all, music in general. His name comes from the fact that I've written several song parodies over the years (that's a matter for another blog )

Now for the announcement: just wanted to let everyone know that I'm going to try my best to attend at least one day of Crystal Fair (St. Louis brony con in Sept.) and already have my full pass for Midwest Furfest in Chicago this December. If you're going to be at either event and want to meet up to say hi or whatever, feel free to let me know.
