Stage one and catch-all

If you're reading this, you might have seen me on the forums or what have you, or maybe you're just curious, or were woo'd by my charms. Either way, I'd like to have this up as a welcome, explanation of why I have no story posted, and general slurry of shit about me.

Speaking of welcomes, welcome! If you're reading this, it means I've done something right.

And well, this is a fanfiction site, so of course I'll talk about my story. I do have the prologue, not a short one by any means either, all polished off and ready to go. However, I have refrained from posting until I have several more chapters hammered out for several reasons:
1) Its just a prologue and not a real chapter
2) I'm waiting until I get the story rolling to post, in case I decide to make some major changes in early development
3) I want to make sure that my readers have an actual decent amount to read right off the bat if they so desire

As for the story itself and what it even is, I'll just say I'm interested in creating something truly original. I don't want to make just another rather mediocre FoE story to clog up this site even further. While I am anything but confident in my abilities, I hope my first attempt at writing fiction turns out to be a good one. I plan to attempt to delve into a type of story that tells many different things about the wasteland and beyond. I will NOT be writing "Edgy demigod-tier pony goes around and kills things to save the world! Featuring slews of grammar mistakes, cringey depictions of characters from Kkat's story, and of course, never updating past chapter 5"

This idea has been gnawing at me for the better part of a year now, so why the hell not? Risk nothing gain nothing as they say.

I also suppose me writing is a time killer of sorts. Since I signed my enlistment contract in February, I have been pretty much doing nothing but working at a grocery store, and playing bland video games, waiting for almost a year until my ship date for boot camp. Writing a story is rather exciting. And before you start "oh hes never gonna finish this thing, he'll ship off and leave the story in the dust," I'd like to state for the record that if I do enjoy writing, I absolutely plan to keep writing during my time in the Navy.

Also for the record, I don't plan to rush this. I will take plenty of time brainstorming, sketching out chapters and the plot as well as characters and adventures, reading other stories for inspiration, pinging ideas off others, getting involved in other peoples stories and the forums, and other such frivolity. So it may be well over a month, or even several, before enough of my story is polished off that I'll post it. I've got a long way to go.
