Crystal empire head cannon theory

So i was thinking there has to be a reason we see mostly earth ponies in the crystal empire and i came up with this theory i don't know if its already out there or not but here goes. The original ponies lived in the frozen north before it became frozen and we all know how that happened so they traveled south to find what is now Equestria now they must have stuck to the east coast to do this as the Griffons are to the west. After the events on hearths warming night they left to get their tribes with the crystal heart in tow, when they got back to the frozen north they saw how effective the crystal heat with fending off the weather so some ponies decided to stay instead of going with their tribes. This is why there is more earth ponies in the crystal empire as the pegasie where a militaristic race so most would have followed commander Hurricane except the few that would have stayed to protect the earth ponies' same with the unicorns which had a monarchy so most would have followed Princess Platinum except the few that wanted to study the now new crystal heart. The earth ponies however was run differently as a democracy with a elected leader they had the most freedom to do what they wanted so they split between those who wanted to stay in the land they and their ancestors grew up in and those that wanted to take part in this new thing with the other races. Now the reason that the frozen north could not return to the way it was is because the windegos where in the land to long and their magic had settled in the land. The reason Clover the Clever took the crystal heart back rarther then leave it in the new land is because she saw the promise of it in the land she left.
