Just a Little Hint of Something I've Been Working On... · 12:20am Jul 3rd, 2016
So, every once in a while, I get bit by the inspiration bug. Unfortunately for me, those moments of inspiration aren't always consistent. This little snippet is something that came to me while working on a different story than the one I'm currently working on (which is in progress, in case y'all were wondering). It's kinda been sitting in my Google Drive just begging to be shared.
Twilight was pacing back and forth in a nervous fashion; her hooves making loud, echoing clacking sounds on the crystal floor of the throne room.
Spike was sitting in his own small throne, snacking on a bowl of rubies and watching as the distressed mare in front of him somehow wore track marks into the very crystal itself. He also took note of her frazzled appearance; the ruffled feathers of her normally pristine wings, her frizzy mane, and the eye twitch...All indicators that something was obviously bothering his mother/sister-figure. And Spike had every intention of finding out what it was.
“Twilight? The young dragon climbed down off the cushion of his stone chair and cautiously approached the anxious Alicorn. “Twilight? I need you to take a deep breath and tell me what’s bothering you. Can you do that?”
Twilight Sparkle halted her actions and plopped her star-speckled rear end right where she stood. She heeded Spike’s instruction and performed Cadance’s breathing technique; deep inhale while bringing a hoof to her chest, hold for a count of 1...2...3…, and slowly exhale while extending the hoof away. While pushing her hoof away from her, Twilight envisioned her worries and troubles being pushed away along with it.
“Feel better?” Spike asked, clearly concerned for his caretaker’s wellbeing.
Twilight nodded her head. “A little bit. Thank you, Spike.”
There's more but I didn't feel like revealing too much of what's going on here. Like I previously mentioned, this is only a small sneak peak at what I've written. Maybe one day I'll work on this more...Hope you enjoyed it.
