    Two Question on S06E26

Is there no refrigeration in Equestria?
If there's ice cream there must be a way to preserve the cider, right? And cider is an alcoholic beverage. The alcohol must help it to last very long.
Is Applejack tackling a senile pony is funny or just wrong?

A few words on crowdfunding · 7:25pm Jun 30th, 2016

Greetings:

About a wek ago, after great waiting and a lot of faith translated iin 4 million dollars of funding. The greatly anticipated Migthy No. 9. The supossed spiritual succesor of Megaman was finally released. And I don't need to talk about the tidal wave it made once it finally hit us like a brick of reality.

It is not because it looks and feels mediocre at best. But it is because what was promised to us and what we were led to believe (and in some extent wanted to believe).

Now there is no point in crying over spilled milk. After 2 years of delays due to supposed "bugs" and a trailer that speaks for itself.

Some feels downright insulted, scammed or cheated. and this event was made greater because of the fact. It toyed with something very close to us: our childhood memories. . Maybe this is why this is such a big deal to begin with. If anither random person, not the creator of the character (who by the way is not the creator of Megaman. Instead is someone known as Akira Kitamura who deserve that honor) come and say: I'm going to make a game that feels like megaman. Even if the product was the same, it may not be such a big deal. the main problem lies in the fact we were fed with promises somewhat over the top and we completed it with the overflowing hype. Making the expectation so much greater and therefore the payback so more disappointing.

But I'm not here to talk over spilled milk. Yes, we need to be more carefull where we put our money. In certain way. Now I feel some sympathy for the industry big investor when they come to a new project out of their confort zone (A.K.A. making the same game over and over which reduced the cost and have guaranteed profit. Like FIFA or COD). Nevertheless, this game was a game changer for the good (I am not defending it).

Look at it this way. Both, Kickstarter and indie gaming has been around for a while back then. But it was only after this game campaign success the crownfunding for such titles began its boom. Inspiriong not other big game creators in the same situation. Much like the examples of Yooka-Laylee and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (Let's hope they don't follow this example to the very same fate). as well as the most benefit from this were the common man. People who had an idead and lack the resources to execute it. Isn't that what crowdfunding is all about? I believe Kickstarter homepage explain it best: "Kickstarter helps artists, musicians, filmmakers, designers, and other creators find the resources and support they need to make their ideas a reality".

This gave the oppotunity to a lot of creative people to give it a shot and while not every single one of them became an Internet phenomenon like Five Night's at Freddy's. We still got some amazing titles here and then such as Shovel Knight, Undertale and Ori and the Blind Forest. In short, what i'm asking you is to not let this incident change your perspective. There are still a lot of creative people out ther waiting for a chance. And there is also a lot of swindlers also waiting for their respective chance. All I'm telling you is to not lose hope, just be more careful with where your money goes. And in return you not only help a creator fulfill his/her project. But also, even if it is not a game changer. You can end up with a good game in return (most of the time at least).

So. After all of this what I'm still writing? I don't know. Maybe I will start a new series. Maybe. Showing a spotlight of projects on Kickstarter and Indiegogo. What can you lose from just cheking them out?

Well. Have you ever been on the arcade to one of those Run and Gun games. where while not making you feel like Rambo still exies you with the over the top mechanics.

Those where you can carry a weapon of infinite bullets, have an entire army against you, humongous bosses who can't fit in the screen and more. Remember, this is the pre-Halo era. When hiding in a corner and cry like a baby didn't helped you recover your much precious health. Instead, much like doom. You have to dive in the middle of the madness and make your way through the infinite bullets as the only way out of this mess is the kickass way. But obliteratin everything in sight. Inthis genre you can fit great classics like:

Metal Slug for the NeoGeo:

What do you need to take down a gunship. Just your sidearm of course.

Gunstar Heroes for the Genesis:

Ok?:rainbowderp:

And a favorite to many. Contra for the NES:

This is how you capture awesomeness and this economize bits.

So. What happens when you combine all these crazy elements and add the opn mapness of the Metroid games?

Whoops, wrong room.

Then you get some Greedy Guns.

In the page they describe the project like this: "GREEDY GUNS is a greed-fueled metroidvania for you to explore and survive. Inspired by classic games like Gunstar Heroes, Super Metroid, Metal Slug with bullet-hell twists and plenty to discover."

The project have arleady been funded. But the are a few strech goals up next. The most prominent ones are the ports for the Wii U, the PS4 and the PS Vita. Also there is a Twitch mode along the way. For direct streaming without many complications.

This game has most of the characteristics featured on those earlier examples. For example the aforementioned map, The local 2p Co-op and the new abilities unlocked along the way to give you a good sense of progression. On top of that there are features from the new generation, like Trophies. Because reasons. And my favorite: full 360° aiming.

Long gone are the restrictive 45° and 90° angles of the earlier games. No you can move and aim independently with the mouse(still, it must be played with a gamepad).

Now about the rewards:
there is opbviously the game alone. If you want you can add the OST. There is acces to the early beta and the ability to provide feedback to the developers. stepping up there is the ever present option for your name in the credits and for a little more you can add your face too.

The game is being developed by Tio Atum

Which by the way means Uncle Tuna in Portuguese.

Its a small studio composed by three friends. They describe themselves as: "Tio Atum is a team of three devs living and working together. We like to climb, play games, kiss strangers and party; hard. Also cake. We love cake."

:rainbowhuh: Glados will be proud?

They are know for Super Bit Dash. A game for iOS. Other than that, this is their first Kickstarter project. And as backer. They have supported 6 other project. From there, three have failed funding. If this says something about them it'll take a smarter one than me to connect those numbers.

Anyway. if you got interested somehow. You can find the project here.

And you have until june 30 if you want to help.

I know. This is somewhat too late. But still the have opened a pre-order campaign here if you are still interested. So wht do you think? After reading this your opinion changed somehow? Should I continue to spotlight from time to time? (It's not like if anyone is going to read this anyway).

Anyway I hope this was useful somehow and thank you for your time. And the comments are down below as always.

Have a nice rest of the day.

(I think I need a better closing catchphase).
