Chapter 1 of A Daring Plan · 3:36pm Sep 5th, 2012
I know I should be working on The Things We Do, and I'm sorry. But, I already have some ideas for the sequel. So, tell me what you think. If you guys want, I'll do both at the same time.
5:30 A.M.
I crouched next to my hoverbike, slowly revving the engine. With each turn of the handles, the engine makes a small whine. I sigh. No more stalling. It's time to go...
"What are you doing?" Daring Do's voice interrupts my thoughts.
"Well...shit." I mutter under my breath, and then I call out to her without actually turning to face the tanned pegasus. "Good Morning!" I try to inject some cheer into my voice. I think it works.
"Where do you think you're going?" Her voice is accusatory. I'd wanted to leave this early in the morning to avoid exactly this kind of confrontation.
"Home." I slowly stand and brush myself off, finally turning towards the mare who saved my life. I'd been a naive fool, and it had nearly cost me my life. Daring had found me, nearly dead from blood loss and infection, trying to cut off my arm. She had amputated the limb, replaced it with the one I had built just for that purpose, and generally nursed me back to the land of the living. And now I was going to abandon her.
Tell me what you think, and if you have any questions, just ask! I'll try to answer any you might have.
Damien out.
That is pretty good. You did a good job expressing the character's feelings and his distress towards the end. Certainly better than what I would of wrote. It's not much but you have my blessing.
