We'll this is awkward... · 1:33pm Jun 14th, 2016
So….heh.
I'm sort of back...again.
You know heh, after saying I was back the last time. Remember that? No, oh, well good, don't.
Been some time. I could come up with excuses.
I cannot.
I’ve tried coming back to MLP several times, but I have failed each time miserably, even announced it on several occasion. Lack of motivation, lack of attention, lack of caring, real life problems, choose one or all of them.
Shame really, because I do check on this site constantly and I enjoy reading the stuff on here. I just haven’t done enough writing in any quantity. I have two unresolved stories that seem like I will never finish at the rate I am working at, inconsistencies aside.
I want to return now, especially after the success of Letters, which I thought would go nowhere and would signal the end of my writing on this site. It did not thankfully.
So I’ve been sitting, waiting, thinking about how I would approach a return to more consistent writing.
I cannot guarantee it is the ultimate answer.
However, I do have something big in the works. A story that will hopefully reach 20,000 words. I wanted to do a weird out there story. It has Twilight in it, and it is strange, that is about all I can say without spoiling things in it. Though I want to finish the full thing it before publishing and editing it in parts. Currently on chapter three of it, though another chapter is partially done.
Being Royalty, I am lost on though I do have another chapter almost finished, though how I will continue is up to whatever comes to me.
Shipmaster is more than likely dead. I’d need to finish other stuff before getting back to it.
I’ve finally decided not to do a sequel to Letters. The story would just be diminished by adding a cliché ending to it. Anyway, the proposed sequel was not going to be a happy one, thus lessening the satisfaction people would have with it. If I run out of ideas, I may come back to it.
Finally, after losing my interest in the show, which partially was a reason for my lack of interest in writing, season 6 has done an excellent job of revitalizing my interest despite some shaky episodes. Some real solid comedy episodes this season. The animation has improved massively and notwithstanding the fact that I despised Starlight at the end of season 5, she has grown on me.
Hopefully, the future is brightener from now on. Moreover, I can knuckle down for a couple of months and get some decent stories out. One can hope.
