The Future of Equestria Girl. Wait, What's Equestria? · 6:27am May 23rd, 2016

IMPORTANT!!!

I've tried to deny it for a long time, doing small bit here and there to keep it alive but I have to finally admit it. I have lost interest in writing Equestria Girl. Wait, What's Equestria?.
I know there's a good number of you that have been keeping up and [hopefully] loving the road so far and I WANT to continue it for you. I just don't want to continue it for myself. I have been writing this for two and a half year now... those there has been about nine months of that note writing and about 6 months also working on other short stories at the same time.
Simply put, while on a smaller scale than my first story I ever wrote which I massively over shot the scale of and was not prepared for how long it ultimately became, I've drawn this story out too long and while still shorter and more time, it's still much longer than I originally planned.
Which leaves me at a crossroads. I DO want to finish it, the question is how? The way I see it there are two options and I'm taking your opinions into account here.

Option 1: Rush job.

Finish the story up in about 5-10k words with less detail and vague descriptions of what happens, similar to the Recapter [recap/chapter] where only the bare minimum is written with descriptions of actions but little to no emotional context.
However, there is the possibility that, as I usually do, what is planned to be 5-10k words will be stretched out to 30k+ or being forced to write it may spark inspiration for the story anew. It had happened before but this is not guaranteed.
Pros: The story will be finished.
Cons: It won't be high quality.

Option 2: Wait for Inspiration

I still have the notes and plan for this story set. The only time lit for putting out chapters have been the ones I set for myself and for the most part I kept those for a while. I will write more when and only when I feel like I want to. When this is? who knows? Could be a few months, could be a year, could be never.
Pros: high quality [in terms of fanfics at least, I'm not a legit author] story with at least 6 more chapters.
Cons: may take ages or never happen at all. Though if it's a year and still nothing I'll probably default on the first option.

I don't have an idea for stories that will be short. The only stories I have ideas for are either 50k+ words, not allowed on fimfics, or a choose your own adventure that would probably only have about 10-20k words but due to branching system would be about 9001 chapters long and have a technically million/billion word count.
None of which are viable.
So I may be on a hiatus for a while if option 2 it chosen.

option 2.

my opinion is that anything worth doing is worth doing right.
