The Creators Guide #1: Inspiration · 12:38am Apr 29th, 2016

Hello fellow readers! I decided to make an advice blog for creators of all kinds. I will be taking suggestions and I will try to do this at least once a month.

Anyways, all creators at some point have dealt with Writer's Block. Or Animator's Block. Or Designer's Block. My point is, everyone gets a creative drive through inspiration, but sometimes there's not enough to go around. How do we get through this? Let's find out.

First, take a step back and realize everything was created through need. The TV was invented to help us keep up with the rest of the world, and handerpants were invented because people were bored. What is your creation meant to do? Help someone understand something? Make someone laugh? Entertain you and only you? Once you understand your purpose, focus on things with that purpose.

Second, write down everything. Note taking might seem exessive, but it can help. Writing a comedy? Something make you laugh? Write it down. At the end of the day, read your notes. Your brain will naturally combine these into something new, an idea. For example, I like mystery/suspense novels, and my favorite pony is Scootaloo. Thus, a new fanfic was born!

And finally, don't push yourself too hard. Most creative ideas are made in a spur of the moment situation, not sitting in a dark room for 40 hours straight. Relax, live life, and take just a few notes in between.

And that was my first attempt at blogging! I'll take any criticism into consideration. Keep creating fellow readers!
