I also draw. Maybe I draw too much and write too little.

[Update 2: Electric Boogaloo] Not quite Beanie Ponies · 6:15pm Apr 27th, 2016

I've forgotten to take photos of these, because I've placed them on the top shelves. And before any of you ask, I really doubt that these are legitimate Ty Beanie Babies, because the tags and labels are all wrong. Some say they are puppies, some say they are yodelers. And according to the labels on their backs, all of them are Rarities, apparently.

Regardless, just now I took them down and gave them another good look.

They gave me a good shock too. Because it appears that the Twilight doll's mane was a mess, cluttering with pieces of cotton.

Sigh. It's nothing a steel brush cannot solve. (Sorry for not having photos of that, I was too shocked and hurriedly brush them all out.)

However, more shockingly, I discover that there is a stump where her wings should be.

What the hell?

So that's why there are cotton pieces... They must have messed up one wing, decided to just cut another one off and passed it off as normal.

I checked the photos on the website - there should be wings. Okay, I don't mind if there are some deformation or color issues. In fact, the Zecora I got has a strange tinge of green (Results of guerrilla warfare?). But losing the freaking wings in such a blatant manner?! Yikes, they might as well add a Dark tag on the doll.

This is how a doll with wings should look like.

Here it is, the poor thing. This side already has the stump removed, but the stump on the other side jutted out from the seams like she was in some horror movie. The make might not be stellar, but I just can't let her stay on my shelf like this. At the very least, some surgery is warranted.

Okay, dusting off the sewing bag. I have not sewed a darn thing since... my home education lessons in secondary school (~ Grade 9)? The stump is actually taken out already in this picture.

My handiwork after taking out the stump... Let's not place it next to a certain seamstress, for it brings shame to my heart. But at least I don't have to see the stump and feel flabbergasted.

For now, I might pretend that this is Twilight pre-Alicornification, but I might also hand-make a pair of wings for her later if I find suitable materials. The seller was okay otherwise, so I won't give him a bad rating. This troubles me very much because I'm that big and dorky a fan anyway.

Thank you all for reading my box-opening report! This should be it!
