What I'm Doing Next

Hello there, this is Zephyr Spark. I'm just writing this to say I am currently working on another fanfic starring Spike. It will be a dark, action, adventure story set in a sort of frame structure. I have it all planned out (though I'm sure it will evolve with time) and I am making progress with the first chapter, but I doubt I will have posted it until I complete at least another chapter or two (and get through some extremely pressing (and annoying I might add) obligations). The fanfic is probably the result of watching one too many nature documentaries about insects (don't ask it will all make sense eventually). While I don't want to give much away, here is the basic premise.

Spike is separated from his friends when he falls through a hole created during an earthquake. Deep beneath the earth, he finds a forest teeming with life, both breathtakingly beautiful and breathtakingly lethal. Unfortunately, many of its inhabitants would like to make a meal of him. Now, Spike has to find a way to contact his friends while avoiding monster bugs and killer plants. Somehow, he must survive and not succumb to his baser instincts.
