Post-surgery and some news · 10:43pm Mar 27th, 2016
It’s a little over a day since my surgery. It went fine, as far as I can tell. Since I was on anesthetics for it and don’t have any memory of it, I won’t be talking about the surgery itself.
I’ll be going into physical therapy in a few days. If everything goes fine, I’ll be able to walk with crutches by the 8th (which is also the day I’m getting the cast taken off my arm) and without crutches by mid-May (which also is when I’m taking a vacation.).
As for my current story, I’ve been working on it all day and actually finished it. Before I submit it, I’m going to work on some last minute edits. This story will also mark the start of a short hiatus. I’m just going to take a break from writing stories (blogs will still happen) until the 8th. That’s just so I’ll be able to write without wanting to choke someone, since casts are fucking annoying.
Also, since I keep mentioning the 8th, this is a good time to mention that a movie I’m looking forward to, Hardcore Henry, is coming out on that day. If you’ve seen the music videos for The Stampede and Bad Motherfucker by Biting Elbows, the movie will be shot from first person just like them. In fact, the movie and music videos are made by the same person. I’ll probably be posting a review of the movie after I see it.
As for season 6 stuff? I doubt I'll be writing much of anything relating to it. I'm in the middle of watching the premier. I don't really care for any of the new characters and I don't think Starlight should have been redeemed. "You can't help everybody" is a great message to teach everybody (especially the writers.)
