If I was a pony, I'd march on over to Canterlot and beg to be Discord's student in chaos.

"Ow!"

Kaye stumbled out of the Doctor Who fandom, landing face-first on the white tiled ground. She stood up with shaky legs and turned to glare at the portal.

"Just because it's the end of Season 9 doesn't mean I'd leave you early! I never leave a fandom and you know it! I'll be back! Just-"

Kaye blinked as the portal's tendrils suddenly lashed out to her right and extended until it reached the edge of another portal. She followed the tendril until she came to the edge of Live Action World.

"What the heck? Cartoon World?! Look, I'm a fully grown adult, you can't make me go there. That's for kids and oh. OH. I see. Well, um, if you say so."

For Kaye had just recognized the world inside the portal: a very familiar world that she had once visited in the past. Oh, it was a long time ago, and she hadn't given it more than just a sweeping glance, but now...

"My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Ah yes. Doctor Whooves, also known as Time Turner. That's your connection to each other, yes?"

The portal to Doctor Who pulsed and retreated the tendril until it stopped in front of her. The tendril quickly expanded until it became big enough for her to step upon. Kaye took a deep breath.

"Here's to nothing, folks."

She jumped onto the enlarged tendril.

She landed on four legs.

Kaye looked down. She had been transformed into a gray pegasus pony with questionable shades of violet in her hair. Her shoulder bag transformed into a saddle bag, and Kaye grinned at her cutie mark: a green quill with a scroll. A writer's cutie mark. Or at least, that's what she thought.

The tendril brought her to the edge of the portal. Kaye looked into the far-too-cheery world of Equestria and sighed in resignation.

"Alright then. As tradition dictates, by the rules of this fandom, I shall name myself...Herberry."

Kaye tried to slap herself into picking a horrible name, but she failed to remember that she was a pony now. She buckled under the loss of support from her right front leg, slipped off the tendril, and fell straight into the world of Equestria.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"
