I know I haven't even hinted at a chapter in the past few weeks, but I can assure everyone that I'm working on them each and every night now. Things have been very hectic on my end due to various factors, but I'll get right on breaking down my recent events and hopefully quelling some of the impatience from people wanting more.
My college experience this past semester was a nightmare. Not only did I have to figure out how to earn an extra $200 to cover my tuition this time around, but I also had to study for my final exam as well as a certification exam for my line of career choice. With both financial and scholarly stress, I couldn't exactly focus on what to write next in any of the four stories currently in production. My only choice was to halt progress on them for the time being until I was able to sort out those issues. Luckily for me, it worked. With the time I usually spent working on the stories (as well as sacrificing any social outings along with it), I was able to use the extra time to focus on my studies. Thankfully, it paid off and I aced both exams.
Not long after, I was "volunteered" by my family to help out with some yard work for one of the people in the neighborhood. Thinking it was a small job, I accepted. What I failed to take into account was the size of some of the backyards here. It took me four days to complete the work (on top of helping with decorating their home with Christmas lights), and that was only possible with the help of an old friend taking time out of their own schedule to help me on day four. It was all for the better, though. The owners of the house compensated me for the help; $250, 50 of which went straight to my friend even though I offered him a 50% cut for saving my bacon. The rest went to covering what I owed in tuition.
Even though progress on the fics has been slow, I've been working on them every night for the past week (mostly Cosmic Defiance and Guiding of the Sirens). Thank you in advance for understanding, and if I continue at this pace, I should have a chapter out by New Year's Eve.
