Christmas 2015 recap · 5:50am Dec 27th, 2015
Hey, so sorry I wasn't here yesterday, but I had a pretty good Christmas season, and I hope you guys did too. So where was I that kept me away from the internet for so long? Mostly hanging with family- and cooking. Lots... and lots.. of cooking. Some highlights of the Christmas experience for me this year:
- Spent 4-5 hours in the kitchen preparing macaroni AND corn muffins AND both chocolate chip and sugar cookies.
- Since I had no time to do so at home, I ended up decorating the sugar cookies at my Aunt's place during the party- with assistance from my 3-year old niece.
- Watched the following specials: Charlie Brown Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, Toy Story That Time Forgot, Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation, Seven Days of Kwanzaa (The Proud Family), and various web videos produced for the holiday season by my favorites web-producers.
- ALMOST got a Target gift card in a game of White Elephant. Got a beanie hat instead
- Got a Star Wars Original Trilogy Special Edition ?Collection on Blu-Ray in another game of White Elephant
- Other presents: Inside Out on Blu-Ray, a few gift cards, beauty/makeup sets, headphones, Taylor Swift 1989 CD, and another beanie hat
- My brother's presents: TWO, count 'em TWO game consoles. One of them being a Sega Genesis.
- Gave aforementioned niece an Elsa-esque dress, and she loved it. :)
-Saw Star Wars with the family yesterday. Definitely a fun way to spend the holidays. As for the movie itself, while flawed, I did enjoy it overall. Doug Walker pretty much sums up many of my opinions in his "Disneycember"/Sibling Rivalry video (Although... really? Another clipless review? For your 300th review no less. Although... imagines Nostalgia Critic intro in the style of Star Wars and nerdgasms)
- My only regret is that I didn't send out a more complete list of items I might like to my relatives beyond the IO blu-ray. This could have been my only shot at getting some Gravity Falls gifts, and other miscellaneous cp I was afraid to ask for because I didn't want to seem greedy. Well, I'll try again with my birthday in a few months...
Alright, here's to me hopefully writing more often next year, both with blogs and in stories. Happy Holidays everypony!
