Moonlight wasn't always the kind hearted web slinger that the ponies see today, something had to happen to drive him. To engage him in that life style. But let's go back....years....years ago.
Moonlight when he was born was a very healthy foal, his parents where part of the middle class and his life was overwhelmingly happy. Until one day his dad stumbled into the streets alone, the biggest mistake of his life. At the age of 5 Moonlight lost his father, to a gang of mares looking for victims....they raped and murdered his father in cold blood.
A few years later his mother became a victim of drugs finding it to be the only way to let her problems go. Even if Moonlight himself was the problem....
In the Manehatten school Moonlight himself found that he was weak, fragile, and almost to shy. Nobody noticed him, he was invisible. Invisible to everyone expect....her....Digtal a engineering expert found herself taking a liking to Moonlight's shy and quiet nature and soon became good friends with him!
But when Moonlight finally feels normal, something bit him. Literally. On the back of his neck a small but deadly spider bit his neck, but it carried a number. 43.
Eventually Moonlight began to discover his powers and work with them for his own benefit. Using them in games and shows, he soon enough became an amazing athlete due to his gene splice. So when him and his mother got back together Moonlight took her to dinner for her to tell him a secret. That she was having a foal, but before she could finish a massive explosion intreupped her. The cause was still unknown but Moonlight dedicated his life to finding his mothers killer. And kill him/her.
Over the years of being Spider-Colt he encountered beings more powerful than him and ally's more friendly than he thought. Eventually moving to Ponyville he met Twilight Sparkle and the two had their share of secrets.
