A preview:
The crowd leaned closer, hovering around Trixie and the tea set as her horn began to glow, not with its customary purple but brighter, whiter, like starlight. Intense concentration came upon her face as, before the eyes of the crowd, the plain white teacup seemed to shimmer unnaturally, random patches of the surface being propagated with colour that quickly faded. A few observant eyes noted how the shadow of the tea cup appeared to warp and distort, and when light began to shine through previously opaque sectors the crowd began to clamour in low, tense voices. Something was happening, something unlike any of the magic Trixie had shown them so far, maybe even unlike anything they’d seen in their whole lives.
