Every time I hear a right winger whine about "political correctness " I wish they'd call it what it actually is.

I dunno about you, but I think that people like homophobes, transphobes and other scum who thinks they have a right to interfere and ruin other people's lives lacks any sense of common decency.

It's not about people disagreeing or feeling entitled, it's about people being assholes for no reason.

It's plenty politically incorrect for me to say that anyone who served on the American side in Iraq is scum who either supported Bush's wars or just didn't care enough to stop them from agreeing to shoot darkies for a paycheck and a ride through college, but l am neither an asshole nor lacking in common decency (both pointlessly subjective terms) for saying so. It's politically incorrect in many left wing circles to say that Julian Assange is a rapist who skated justice because of politics, but 'common decency' flat out demands saying it.

Hell, it's becoming politically incorrect to use the term 'transgender' instead of that damn stupid 'trans with an asterisk' thing, despite the fact that the new term serves no purpose other than to give certain people a pretext to demand that other people start doing things THEIR WAY and to demonize and attack anyone who doesn't confirm. That's what political correctness IS.
