Thank you, all of you · 3:39am Aug 5th, 2012
I actually noticed this a few days ago, but have only now gotten around to writing about this, and thanking you.
100 thumbs-up on "Love Will Set You Free" (actually, at time of writing, 104). Without a single thumbs-down (which I consider the bigger achievement). And 54 followers, most of those (I would guess) drawn in by that story.
I'll just sit in the corner wondering how a little story about a teenage dragon's first heartbreak that then took a turn at the corner of Fourth and Epic became this loved, without ever getting any kind of "extraneous attention", as it were. It wasn't featured, it wasn't posted anywhere else (not to say it should have been either of those things, just pointing it out), and yet it still managed to accumulate this many people who liked it enough to click on that green button.
At the risk of sounding like a skipping record: Thank you all. I won't deny that it's a huge boost to get this kind of a return, even if it is on a scale that the "established" authors on the site can only smile at (for comparison's sake, determamfidd, author of the brilliant "It Takes a Village", has 465 followers and is nearing 1500 thumbs-up on the story). You've helped me discover how incredibly addictive that little flame icon (Notifications) can be.
Here's to the next 100. And to "L'amore รจ femmina" eventually catching up. :)
Congrats!
I'm happy for you
