The Dash Pack notes

Hey folks! Waiting on The Dash Pack to be approved, but writing this in the meantime.

This story (in composition alone) is more like Their Special Day, rather than Equestria Abides. It has less exposition and more dialog, which is tons of fun to write!

Some parts of this story, mainly the routines, are difficult to describe. So, use your imagination! When I read back on it, I always imagine the stunts being way more epic than they appear on the show, but what the hay, right?

This is the story where Gregory Griffon appears for the first time. He is also in Chapter 4 of Equestria Abides. (So if you are reading one of these stories and not the other, read both!!) I wanted to work him in more in this story, but it didn't seem natural anywhere else.

Obviously Gilda and Gregory's relationship is odd. There is some head cannon being worked into a story concerning that at the moment, but this is just a little glimpse into their life. Like Gilda said, there are few griffons, so its necessary for them to marry. Theirs is somewhat a marriage of necessity, but they do genuinely love one another. Again, more development with them in Equestria Abides.

Gilda is a bit more lewd here, but I figure she is just that way. Clearly she can't be depicted the way on the show because it is for children, but I think this is a fairly accurate depiction of her.
